Community Cornerstone Recipient
Congratulations, Shannon Pearson, our newest Community Cornerstone!
Shannon runs Lakeview Animal Sanctuary in Sanborn, a rescue organization that takes in farm animals in need of care. When she learned the sanctuary property was being sold and the animals would be given away to uncertain futures, Shannon stepped in. She has fought hard to keep the 100+ animals safe and together in the sanctuary that had been promised to them.
Shannon has spent countless amounts of money and endless hours giving these animals a life on a brand-new property and has given up much of her free time to provide love and care for these animals. Shannon works tirelessly behind the scenes and works to educate others through educational petting zoos at schools, churches, libraries and more.
